RisCura enables seamless collaboration

RisCura provides investment consulting, independent risk services and data services to a range of South Africa’s premier institutional funds and financial services businesses.

The business was established in 1999 in response to the industry’s call for a truly independent investment consultant with a unique approach to liability-driven investing and risk.

Because RisCura's business activities demand intensive interaction with information on a consistent basis, it identified SharePoint as an ideal platform on which to build a dynamic and user-friendly intranet. bSOLVe was approached as a partner to assist with planning, strategy and implementation using Windows SharePoint Services. In cooperation with key individuals within RisCura, several departmental needs were identified within the organisation, each being addressed via a specific SharePoint feature set. Amongst other solutions to operational problems, custom tags were created with which to identify contacts, structured site templates were created with which documentation stores for clients could be created on the fly, and task lists were implemented to control daily checklists. In addition, several business processes were automated using electronic forms and accompanying workflow logic.

RisCura's intranet provides its information workers with a true central location from which to collaborate - coordinating documentation, contact information, processes and tasks.
